nodeQ was part of the top-tier deep-tech companies invited to the DLD (Digital – Life – Design) conference in Munich. Founded in 2005, DLD has developed into Europe’s leading innovation conference for visionaries from around the globe, attracting the best and the brightest in the World of digital. In the past, DLD hosted speakers of the caliber of S. Natella (Microsoft) and M. Zuckerberg (Facebook), among others.
Our CEO, Prof S. Pirandola, spoke in a panel on "Quantum Hardware: Computing, Communications and Sensors", together with Nick Farina (CEO of EeroQ), Howard Morgan (Chair of B Capital), and Gabi Dreo Rodosek (Universität der Bundeswehr München).
Besides quantum computing hardware, the panel also discussed challenges and opportunities in the areas of quantum security and networking. In particular, Prof Pirandola explained how nodeQ is leading the charge in the development of efficient and usable quantum-safe networks: this means computer networks that are not only resistant to quantum (and classical) attacks, but also operate at high speed, to be effectively used in the near-term future. He also briefly discussed the longer-term development of a hybrid classical-quantum internet, where the classical (quantum-secured) infrastructure will be augmented by interconnected quantum computers.
